About
In Kang Laboratory in Sydney Pharmacy School, our work is focused on microscale technologies and 3D printing for drug delivery and tissue engineering. Work in progress includes the following: (1) Microstructured hydrogels to generate microscale tissues for organ regeneration, including hair follicle, heart, and tooth. (2) Expression of glycosylated human leukemia inhibitory factor using Pichia pastoris to bioengineer meat. (3) Topical and transdermal delivery of therapeutic agents using nanocarriers, microneedles, semisolids, with controlled / sustained release profile. (4) Drug solubilization using herb-extracted sugars.
